A Five-Piece Delft Garniture Set, Ca. 1759
A rare and exceptional five-piece mid-18th century Delft garniture set, hand-painted in rich cobalt and polychrome tones. Each vase features classic Dutch pastoral scenery with windmills, figures, and landscape motifs, framed by scrolling floral decoration and rococo flourishes. The set comprises three baluster-form vases and two tapering trumpet-form vases, all beautifully matched in palette and design.
This period Delft garniture displays the unmistakable charm and craftsmanship of early Dutch tin-glazed pottery and makes a striking decorative statement on mantels, consoles, or within a collector’s cabinet. A wonderful and increasingly hard-to-find ensemble for lovers of fine European ceramics.
