I find joy and inspiration in paintings and drawings of interiors. When done well, they are not only beautiful to look at, but a source of ideas as well. A drawing of a quiet room, absent of people, sometimes even more than a photograph, gives the viewer a glimpse into the soul of a room. If you’re looking for eye-catching wall art, these charming glazed ceramic mirrors, created by the French ceramicist Francois Lembo during the 1960s and 70s, make for a fabulous collection. Lembo was from the town of Vallauris, on the Cote d’Azure, and his mirrors are often designed in deep, saturated tones reminiscent of the French Riviera. Read more
